Last wednesday Annamarie and I joined a mini bus full of Tourism Noosa members on a visit to Parliament House in Brisbane. Our local State MP Glen Elmes hosted the day with a bbq lunch at Parliament House followed by an inspection of the historic building. We then sat in the visitors gallery for question time. A very interesting day out and certainly something different.

Yesterday I attended the Noosa International 7's rugby tournament at the Dolphin's oval, Sunshine Beach. It was a warm sunny day. The atmosphere was very colourful with lots of food and drink, live bands and entertainers (even a strolling Carribean steel drum band). There was a true international flavour with a number of teams from the Pacific (Fiji, Tonga and Cook Islands). There was also a women's competition won by the Australian Pearls.
