What Does Self Catering Mean?

All Units at Castaway Cove are self-contained or self-catering where guests supply their own food and other consumable items necessary for day to day living, and do their own cleaning and washing during their stay. We are not a hotel and do not provide full daily service facilities.

  Linen
Linen and towels are supplied at the start of your stay (listed below) and all units contain full laundry facilities. Should your stay be longer than 7 nights, your unit will be serviced (cleaned) mid-stay, and fresh linen supplied. Consumables are not replenished during a mid-stay service

• Sheets 2 per bed
• Pillows and Pillow Slips 2 per person
• Bath Towels 1 per person
• Bath Mats 1 per bathroom
• Hand Towels 1 per bathroom and powder room
• Face Washers 1 per bathroom
• Tea Towels 2 per unit

Blankets and spare pillows are available in your wardrobe. Additional linen, including beach towels, are available for hire from Reception.

Consumables
A small starter pack of consumables is supplied for each unit, which should be enough for 1-2 nights, giving guests the time to go out and purchase their own supplies. When exhausted, replacement during the stay is the guest’s responsibility, although additional items can be purchased from Reception.

• Kitchen Bin Liners 2
• Bathroom Bin Liners 1 per bathroom
• Soap 1 x 15 gm bar per person and 1 per powder room
• Toilet Rolls 1 full roll per toilet
• Bath Gel 1 x 30 ml bottle for each indoor spa or bath tub
• Conditioning Shampoo 1 x 30ml bottle per person
• Body Lotion 1 x 30ml bottle per bathroom
• Shower Cap 1 per bathroom
• Facial Tissues 1 pocket pack per bathroom
• Sanitary Bags 2 per bathroom

Cooking Facilites
All units except the Studio Apartment have full kitchen facilities including oven, ceramic cooktop, microwave, dishwasher, and a selection of basic cooking implements. Sufficient crockery, cutlery and glassware is provided for each person.
